Yam Fry


Yummy n crispy yam fry...


yam 1/2 kg
garlic 8 cloves
curry leaves 2 springs
chilli powder 1 tbsp
corriander powder 1 tbsp
turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
salt to taste


Peel and cut the yam into thin n small pieces. Put the pieces in cold water.

Crush the garlic cloves.

In a frying pan add oil. Once its heated add the crushed garlic and curry leaves and fry for few mins.

Now add the cut yam pieces into the the frying pan with the garlic.

Add the chilli, corriander, turmeric powder and salt with the yam.

Mix the mixture till all pieces of yam is coated with the powders.

Fry for few mins and transfer it to the 160 C preheated oven or continue roasting in the pan itself.
(if roasting in the pan stir the yam occationally and cook in moderate heat)

Check the yam in between and stir the mixture.

Remove it from heat once it reaches ur desired crunchiness.

Its best tasted while hot.
