Okara / Soya Bean Paste Cutlet

Do you make your own soya milk? I do and i am always left with so much of Okara (soya bean paste) and was searching for a good recipe to make use of the healthy stuff...
One thing that was in my mind was to make some patties but didn't have any idea and today i finally came up with this idea and guess what...
The recipe was a super duper hit and just loved the taste of it. i didn't even feel like it was made with okara...
Very soon i will post the recipe for Homemade Soy Milk.

 Ingredients:

Okara/Soya Bean Paste 2 cups
Potato Medium Size Grated
Onion Medium Size Grated
Ginger Paste 2 Tbsp
Green Chilli 1 Chopped (adjust to your taste)
Egg Large 1
Bread Crumbs 1 cup
Chilli Powder 1 Tbsp (adjust to your taste)
Corriander Powder 1 Tbsp
Turmeric Powder 1 Tsp
Garam Masala 2 Tsp
Salt To Taste
Oil For Shallow Frying

Method:

Mix all ingredients except oil and make small balls and flatten them.
If your mixture is too soft then add more of bread crumbs so it holds shape.

( At this stage if you want to use these patties for later use you can place them in a plate with out over lapping and leave in the freezer till they become hard then transfer to any airtight container and leave it back in the freezer, you can shallow fry them when needed)

Drizzle some oil in a pan and place the patties and shallow fry them on both sides until they are nice and golden in color.

Serve hot with some dip of your wish.
