Everyday morning for the breakfast I would like something like cook easy or a very easy :) and healthy dish. As the breakfast is the very important meal of the day I prefer it to be the healthy and tastiest one too... I still have the idea of making the granola at home but don't know what's stopping me, so I thought of making the same formula with a little change and in an easy cookie form... Here are the results...
Ingredients
dates 1/2 cup (this can be replaced with dried apricot, cherry, raisins or any dry fruit of ur choice)
flour 3/4 cup (all purpose or whole wheat flour)
oats 3/4 cup
wheat barn 3 tbsp
chopped nuts 1/2 cup (I used a mix of chopped pista, almonds and walnuts)
unsalted butter 1/4 cup
sugar 1/2 to 1/3 cup
honey 2 tbsp.
Method
Preheat the oven to 180 C.
Cut the dry fruits in to pieces and add to a large mixing bowl.
Add the oats, flour, wheat barn and chopped nuts to the bowl.
Mix well to combine them.
Add the butter, sugar and honey to a sauce pan and heat it till they all melt and mix well.
Add the butter mixture to the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly.
Now make small portions out of this mixture and flatten them and place them in the greased or lined tray.
Bake them in the preheated oven for 12 - 15 mins.
Once done cool them completely and store them in a air tight container.
