Chewy Chocolaty Brownies

Brownies are any chocolate lovers favourite, the chewy texture of it somehow never fails to satisfy the crave and If i ever crave for a brownie then this is the only recipe i reach for.

I have always used wheat flour for all my cakes and even for this recipe i have done the same and had same success.


INGREDIENTS 

1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs

1/2 cup all-purpose flour or wheat flour
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional but highly recommended) 
1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional) 

METHOD 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x9 inch baking pan and set aside. 

In a medium bowl, mix together the oil, sugar, and vanilla. Beat in eggs, mix well. 

Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt, seive this mixture for a lump free mixture. 


Gradually stir the dry mixture into the egg mixture until well combined. 
Stir in walnuts and choco chips if desired. 

Pour and spread the batter evenly into the greased pan.

Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the brownie begins to pull away from edges of pan. Let cool on a wire rack before cutting into squares.
