Mint Sesame Paratha |Triangle Mint Sesame Paratha |Mint Sesame Parotta

Mint and sesame paratha is a crispy and flaky paratha that can be enjoyed as a evening teatime snack or as a main course lunch with some side dish.


INGREDIENTS

2 cups whole wheat flour
2 tsp oil
1 tsp salt
Water to make dough
1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
2 tbsp dried & crushed mint leaves
2 tbsp ghee
2 tbsp oil

METHOD

In a large bowl add the whole wheat flour, oil and salt. Mix well.

Add enough water to make a soft and pliable dough. Rest the dough at least for 30 mins.

Meanwhile heat a small pan and toast the sesame seeds until they start crackling. Crush the dried mint leaves.

Now take a small ball of dough and spread it into a semi thick roti.

Smear some ghee all over the roti and sprinkle the mint and sesame seeds on top.

From here you can either make a triangle paratha by folding the roti in half then smear little ghee again fold in half and spread it thin like a regular rotibut keeping the triangle shape.

Or you can fold it into zig zag like fan fold and roll it again to make parotta kind.

Either way the roti has amazing flavours and layers as well. The toasted sesame has a beautiful nutty flavout and a small crunch to it while eating.
