Roti Jala |Net Pancakes |Malaysian Net Crepes

Roti jala is a fun recipe to make and enjoy. This is a malaysian recipe that is consumed with a spicy curry during the evening tea.
The process of making roti jala is so much fun as every single roti has its own design. 

INGREDIENTS 

250gms whole wheat flour or all purpose flour 
300 ml thin coconut milk
200 ml water
2 eggs
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp turmeric powder 
1 pinch sugar
1 tbsp ghee or coconut oil

SPECIAL EQUIPMENT 

Plastic bottle with a plastic cap
1 sharp nail or screwdriver 

METHOD 

*Mix all the ingredients in a blender and blend it until everything is combined. 
*Strain the batter in a strainer to remove any lumps. 
*Remove the cap of a plastic bottle and make 3 - 4 holes in the cap. 
*Transfer the batter to the prepared bottle and cover with the cap. 
*Heat a nonstick pan on medium high heat. Smear some ghee or oil to the pan. 
*Pour the batter to the pan in a circular motion to make a net like formation. 
*Once the pancake is cooked completely, fold two sides of the circle to the middle then roll it into a roll. 
*Serve hot with a spicy curry of yohr choice.
