Besan Broccoli Chilla

Nowadays the kids and grow ups as well are not consuming enough of vegetables but the vegetables plays a major role in the goodness of our health. This chilla is a dish where you can hide the vegetables and feet it to the loved ones even without them noticing it. 
The base of this dish is the besan flour which is very good for health and even for diabetic people it helps and also serves as a craving satisfier. This is a high Protien dosa/chilla which can be put together in minutes and tastes amazing. 

If your wondering what to make in the lazy and busy mornings which can keep the hunger at bay for few hours then this is the answer to all the above. The addition of oats and nuts makes it a perfect dish for the kids breakfast. 

INGREDIENTS 

1 small broccoli
½ cup walnuts
2 cups chickpea flour
1 cup oats
Salt to taste 
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp cumin powder
1 large onion chopped
4-5 green chillies minced
Few curry leaves chopped
Oil or Ghee for cooking
Water as required 

METHOD 

In a blender add the oats and walnuts, grind it to a powder and set aside. 

To the same blender add the broccoli pieces and give it couple of pluses or until it reaches a fine crumbly texture. 

Add chickpea flour and oats powder in a mixing bowl along with the ground broccoli. 

Add green chillies, onions, turmeric powder, cumin powder and salt.

Give it a good mix to remove any lumps and add enough water to make a semi thick batter. 

Heat a pan on medium heat, pour a spoonful of batter and spread it into a dosa. 

Drizzle oil on all sides and let it cook evenly on both sides till it turns golden brown.

Once done, remove them from the pan. 

Serve it hot with some Chutney of your choice. Enjoy!!! 




Notes

Add any vegetable of your choice. 

Nuts are optional or you can add any nuts of your choice.
